House Job in Punjab Dental Hospital is a dream of most of the dental graduates from colleges other than de'Montmorency College of Dentistry. Punjab Dental Hospital (PDH) is one of the most renowned dental hospital of Punjab. Located near Badshahi Mosque, next to Lady Wellington Hospital, with it's associated college, de' Montmorency College of Dentistry, Punjab Dental Hospital attracts a horde of patients from all over Punjab.
How to apply for house job?
It is very simple. First of all, all your documents must be complete.
Documents include:
- CNIC
- Domicile,
- Matric certificate,
- Fsc certificate,
- All DMCs of four years
- Provisional PMDC registration
Along with these documents write an application addressing the MS of the hospital for the house job.
Submit all these documents to the student section of the hospital. Now forget about it for a month or two.
The Interview:
After a month or two, an interview call is issued to all the candidates. Interview is taken by a panel of three doctors. In the interview they ask questions about your college and why do you want to do house job from Punjab Dental Hospital.
Merit List:
After the interview, a merit list is displayed. List is displayed according to the merit. Government graduates are preferred over the private ones. Number of paid seats is determined if any of the graduate of de'Montmorency College of Dentistry doesn't do house job there, so the vacant seat is given to the foreign candidate who is at the top of merit list. So if for instance, there are 2 or 3 paid vacant seats they will be given to the candidates falling at the top of the merit list while some other candidates are given unpaid house job.
Is it worth it?
Now the question arises, whether doing house job here is worth it or not? Honestly speaking, those who have graduated from a good government medical college like Nishtar Dental College should do the house job from their own hospital, as there is not much difference between the two. While those who have graduated from other private medical colleges should definitely apply here. The patient flow and exposure at Punjab Dental Hospital is tremendous. People from all over Punjab go there for dental treatment so those who want to learn and polish their practicing skills should definitely apply there for house job.
